The importance of professions

You may know what your dad and mom work in?, but what about your neighbors and  your uncles?, that's why I ask you: How many types of jobs are there? Have you stopped to think about the doll or ball you bought? ?
The glass of milk that you drink every morning, milk is a raw material that we get from the cows, How did that bottle of milk get to our table?

To answer these questions we are going to watch a video that will help us understand.

The following activity help us to explore various occupations by discussing the tools workers use on a daily basis at their jobs. This is a good way to discuss the various functions of tools and how some of them require specialized skills. 

Certain tools are used indoors, while others are used outdoors. Many of the workers who use tools perform tasks that are integral to our safety, comfort, health, and happiness. If you really think about it, it's easy to see how these workers make a direct impact on our daily lives.

The correct order of writing

Hello guys 

English is not our mother tongue and as is normal it differs in many aspects from our language. In Spanish, the subject, which appears many times omitted, is an elliptical subject, while in English, it always has to be present. 

What about interrogative and negative sentences? We found that these sentences present auxiliary verbs, a fact that does not occur in Spain, so we are going to see if you are familiar with these aspects and know how to apply them.

And what about the sounds ? English has many words in which the final letters are not pronounced, and if that were not enough, it has 12 vowel sounds, one of them very characteristic, the schwa, so we are going to practice writing through this dictation to see if we know differentiate all the consonants and vowels.​

Speaking by playing

Let's improve our speaking skill by playing!!!

Today we are going to dedicate a few minutes of class to learning vocabulary in a fun way.

In groups of 4 children, the first player will say the first phrase I packed my backpack for school and took a .... cake. The second player repeats it and adds another item: 'I packed my backpack at school and took a cake and an orange.' The turns continue (repeating and adding articles) until someone makes a mistake or forgets a word and the subject has to be changed.

I put a video so you can see how it works.

You can practice with different types of vocabulary. For example: go shopping (I went to the stores and bought...) animals (I went to the zoo and saw…)

We have other options to practice this skill,  for example English Speak Practice. Thi is an application that gives us options to practice oral skills with different real-life situations and different types of conversations to gain confidence and security when expressing ourselves in English.

With this application we will have access to hundreds of conversations from daily life that we can read, listen to and also try to reproduce ourselves, which will allow us to hear our pronunciation and be able to compare it and see what needs to be improved.

This week, since we have had vacations, we are not going to read a chapter of our reading book Wonder as usual, so since we do not have time to do the discussion, instead we are going to do a short reading comprehension activity, of which We have not context, but we have to get the right answers to the questions being asked, or guess what those notes and announcements refer to.
